It’s been another exciting month for YamYam To Go UK! At the beginning of November, we opened our brand new Wolverton restaurant, and, so far, it’s been a great success, with lots of people absolutely loving the tasty food we offer. To top off the excitement, our Wolverton restaurant also recently received a food hygiene rating of 5 (very good) in our recent food safety inspection!
It’s part of the law that all food businesses have to receive regular food safety inspections as part of the National Food Hygiene Rating Scheme. These businesses include pubs, cafes, restaurants and retailers. Inspections are conducted to ensure that the food you are serving is safe for your customers to eat. During the inspection, they will rate your premises, how you work, your food safety management and ensure that no descriptions on your food are misleading. The inspections score three elements to determine your food hygiene rating; these elements are food hygiene and safety, structure (this includes cleaning methods) and confidence in management.
A business’ food hygiene rating can really affect them which is why it’s important to work hard to achieve a high rating. The rating can act as a tool to help customers choose where they want to eat. If your restaurant has a rating of 1 and your competitor’s rating is 5, it’s more than likely you’re going to lose business to your competitor.
YamYam To Go are pleased to say our food hygiene rating is 5 and we will continue to work hard to maintain that rating and provide our customers with continuously delicious food!
